The Orri sits at an altitude of 1550 m above sea level in the upper part of the village of Planès. The 5000 m2 property is located at the base of the north face of the Cambre d'Ase mountain, between the Planès stream and the old trail that climbs into the Planès valley. Below lies the Têt river gorge; above, the high peaks that forms the border with Spain. On clear days, you can see the Mediterranean sea from the hill located at the end of the town's main street, just 500 m from house.
Orri guests can walk to the the Saint Thomas hot springs in just an hour. Seasoned hikers can access the Nuria valley, located across the border in Spain, by hiking to the top of the Planès Valley, over the ridge of the Tour d'Eyne mountain and through the Nuria pass. The Bouillouses lakes, crowned by the Carlit and Peric peaks, the Carança gorges, famous for their suspension bridges and for the hikers' refuge located just above, and the Eyne Valley, known for its exceptional variety of flora and fauna, are all nearby.
